Zalud makes healthcare feel approachable, inclusive and easy to navigate. Built with a deep understanding of the Spanish-first experience in the U.S., we offer accessible, bilingual telehealth (currently for residents of Texas and Florida) that fits real life.

Dr. Emill Sánchez is a Dominican-born, bilingual physician board-certified in Internal and Obesity Medicine, licensed across all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico, with a medical degree from UNIBE and residency training at Lincoln Medical Center affiliated with Cornell University.
Through his work in telemedicine, clinical leadership, and physician entrepreneurship, he is dedicated to building healthcare systems that are accessible, culturally aligned, and designed around the needs of Spanish-speaking communities in the United States.

Dr. Joanna Kingsley Tavárez is a dual board-certified Internal and Obesity Medicine physician, trained at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and Lincoln Medical Center affiliated with Cornell University, with over a decade of clinical experience as a hospitalist, residency faculty member, and telehealth physician.

Care that understands language, context, and lived experience.
Discreet testing and secure communication from start to finish.
Founded and guided by experienced, board-certified doctors.
No insurance required. No waiting rooms. No unnecessary steps.

We’ve launched in Texas and Florida first to learn directly from our community and build care that truly works. Every step we take now helps us grow with intention, so we can expand quickly and bring Zalud to more cities across the country. If we’re not in your area yet, we’re on our way.
